Ships - Back to ships list
Summary
This once merchant sloop was referenced by the great Commander Oliver Hazard Parry and was turned into a warship. Recognizing its wonderful history, a replica of Friends Good Will was constructed in 2004 by the Michigan Maritime Museum. The sloop was constructed to be up kept and run by volunteers from the museum. The mission of the ship is to educate a wide variety of individuals about the preservation of maritime skills and traditions. The Museum offers a day sail program through out the summer to aid in their education process. Friends Good Will went from a sloop to war ship and this beautiful transition is something you cannot miss this year!
